Serena has authored articles on lactation and breastfeeding for La Leche League International and Native Mothering, an online breastfeeding and mothering resource. She is the founder of Bay Area Breastfeeding Support, and sees over 2500 families a year. To date she has seen close to 44,000 families. She also runs a support group with over 11,000 members in it. Serena is a Registered Nurse in the State of California, and also a Board Certified LC. She has two degrees and is a constant life learner. Serena's area of focus are challenging issues such as tongue tie, failure to thrive, previous breast surgery, painful breastfeeding and oral and structural pathology, bottle consults and lower that average infant weight gain.
